Day 34: Setting Down the Stones
Instead of throwing stones, may we respond to his invitation and examine our own conscience and recognize our limitations, as well as what inspires us and gives us life.
Josh Utter is originally from Madison, WI, and a graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, IA. Based in Phoenix, AZ, Josh is the outreach officer for Jesuit Refugee Service/USA.
Instead of throwing stones, may we respond to his invitation and examine our own conscience and recognize our limitations, as well as what inspires us and gives us life.
What narratives do you hear about immigrants and asylum seekers? Which narratives should be uplifted? Which should be challenged?
We as humans like to commodify and reduce each other to a certain value. We must move beyond that thinking for it limits our potential to find love and meaning in this life here on earth.
