Saint Peter’s University Opens Center for Undocumented Students

Saint Peter’s University announced today the opening of The Center for Undocumented Students (TCUS). The mission of TCUS is to support the academic work of undocumented students at the University, to shed intellectual light on the political and economic realities of immigration in our world today and to create a community where undocumented students feel welcome. TCUS will work with community organizations, government agencies, high schools and other Jesuit colleges and universities to create better access to higher education and increase retention rates among undocumented youth.

Graduates of Jesuit Schools Call on Fellow Alumni in U.S. House to Act on Immigration Reform

Over 1,200 alumni of Jesuit universities and high schools have sent a letter this week to fellow alumni in the U.S. House of Representatives calling on them to pass comprehensive immigration reform legislation. The group forty-three House members, which includes Speaker of the House Representative John Boehner (Xavier University ‘77) have attended one or more of the 28 universities and 60 high schools sponsored by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in the United States.

Jesuit University Leaders Support Humane Immigration Reform
