Understand and Take Action: Executive Orders on Immigration and Refugees
On February 2, 2017, ISN hosted a conversation on President Trump’s executive orders on immigration and refugee issued on January 25 and 27, 2017. Representatives from the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States and Jesuit Refugee Service USA offered an overview of the executive orders, insights on how they will impact immigrant and refugee populations, and presented action steps that you as an advocate can take. During the conversation, the “6-Minute Ignatian Advocacy Challenge” was introduced as a way that people across the Ignatian and Jesuit network can utilize to share their concerns with members of Congress.
Participants:
Kristen Lionetti, Policy Director at the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States
