PROTECT IMMIGRANT CHILDREN & FAMILIES

In just under two months, the administration’s “zero-tolerance” border prosecution policy has separated over 2,300 children from their parents with no reunification plan. The Trump Administration is also placing more families together in inhumane detention camps and trying to circumvent laws that protect children from indefinite incarceration.

As people of faith, we are called to stand with our immigrant brothers and sisters, to stand for families, to stand for the inherent dignity of all people. Join us in taking action!

OUR MESSAGE TO MEMBERS OF CONGRESS:

I urge you to do everything in your power to end the separation of children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border, including the following:

–Vote against any legislation that expands family detention or leads to the separation of families.
–Advocate for the immediate reunification of all children current separated from their families
–Encourage the Trump Administration to end its “zero-tolerance” prosecution policy and return prosecutorial discretion to protect families, young children, and other vulnerable individuals seeking asylum.
–Detaining children and separating them from their families causes permanent harm to the spirit, health, and well-being of these vulnerable children and their families.

Thank you for your time.
