Rise Up!

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what such people do secretly; but everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Ephesians 5:11-14

This Lenten season, the Ignatian Solidarity Network considers how, as people of faith, we “rise up.”

Voices from the Ignatian network draw from daily readings, Ignatian spirituality, and their own spheres of work for justice, to issue a call to move toward hope and renewed effort in building a more just world.

Lent is an opportune time to embody simplicity, reflection, and repentance; to stand with those both affected by and working to alleviate injustice in the U.S. and throughout the world.

From Ash Wednesday, March 1, through Easter Sunday, April 16, we invite you to consider these unique perspectives, to repent, to pray, and to rise up!
