“Bee at Peace”: Women of Color Journey Toward Peace, Stillness, and Connection
Bee at Peace is an initiative designed to make Ignatian spirituality more accessible to women of color, and in the process, build mutual support and community.
Kelly Swan has worked for the Ignatian Solidarity Network since 2016, first as communications director, and now as director of advancement. She grew up in West Virginia and is a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University. Kelly has worked in parish social ministry, child and family advocacy, community education and organizing, and publishing. She lives in the Cleveland, Ohio area with her children.

Springing from ISN’s networking calls for immersion coordinators during the pandemic, campus ministers at the University of Detroit Mercy, Canisius College, and the University of Scranton collaborated to plan and host “A Virtual Immersion: The Story of Detroit Through the Lens of Race.”

The Ignatian Solidarity Network (ISN) is a national social justice network inspired by the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. ISN was founded in 2004 and is a lay-led 501(c)3 organization working in partnership with Jesuit universities, high schools, and parishes, along with many other Catholic institutions and social justice partners.
