Central America’s Northern Triangle: Complex Solutions Needed

The Northern Triangle region is facing complex issues which are causing spillover effects and knocking at the door of the United States. This crisis will take time and a multifaceted approach to address. Rather than subscribing to vague plans which tell us how resolve the region’s socioeconomic issues, we must remain open to dialogue with all stakeholders and civil society in particular.

ISN Joins Faith-Based Call for Protection of Undocumented Brothers and Sisters

The Ignatian Solidarity Network (ISN) joined the Jesuit Conference, Jesuit Refugee Service USA and a number of other national faith-based organizations in a sign-on letter the U.S. Congress calling for opposition to legislative action that would harm short term relief from deportation for undocumented immigrants.

U.S. Jesuits Join Catholic Bishops in Welcoming Obama Administration’s Plan to Provide Immigration Relief

WASHINGTON D.C. - In a statement released on November 21, 2014, the U.S. Jesuit Conference, Jesuit Refugee Service USA and Kino Border Initiative, joined the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in welcoming President Obama’s announcement of temporary relief from deportation for as many as five million of our community members. The statement follows the U.S. Bishops' statement released the previous day which emphasized the importance of keeping families together in the Obama administration's executive action.
