A Parish Journey for Racial Justice: Hosting A Breaking Open the Sin of Racism Series

Join this conversation with Sara Seligmann, regional director for Catholic social action at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, on Breaking Open the Sin of Racism, a series prepared in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and faculty and staff at the University of Dayton. The series begins with a macro global and historical examination of race and racism and progresses to a micro examination of the interpersonal impact of race and racism. The series resources—an 8-part video series and 4-part workshop—are free and open to the public.

Discerning How to Welcome Your Neighbor

Each of us wants to be part of a welcoming community, but we often find ourselves at a loss as to where to start. We know the Lord calls on us, but how? What if I don’t have the space or the means to provide shelter? What if there are no immigrants in my community? What if those around me are reluctant to learn about immigration? This tool is intended to help a community reflect on how they can best be welcoming and hospitable.
