A Habit of Social Justice

In this yes, I am not saying that one cannot work for justice or serve others through different vocations, or that my yes is somehow more important or bigger than yours. Rather, I am embracing a yes that perhaps looks different or less common than others, but a yes that hopes to do the same as all great yes’s do: breathe life and love into this world.

Racism Across State Lines: A Common Enemy

Now with the even more recent news of the death of Eric Garner in New York, I find myself in solidarity with my conversational companions and newfound friends from Fordham. With protests and rallies happening all across the country, it has become more and more apparent that no race issue is isolated, but a sign of the times in which we live.

The Toothbrush Project to Support Nyumbani Village

Back in Madrid at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, we decided to propose a project that could provide all the children with access to dental hygiene. First, we would collect toothbrushes to send to the orphanage. The University’s solidarity department helped us put up collection points in every department of the University.
