Racism, anti-immigrant sentiment, and Islamophobia have become prevalent in society today.

Ignatian Solidarity Network in partnership with Faith in Public Life offered a series of online training sessions for students at Catholic colleges and universities to equip them with skills and background to have courageous conversations with people in their personal networks, particularly intergenerational conversations that engage older family members, mentors, teachers, etc. The training is intended to help participants consider the psychology of fear that leads people to express hate or distrust of others because of their differences. The sessions also offer skills and insights on how to engage in meaningful and productive conversations about these issues with those in a person’s personal network.
