
Solidarity on Tap is a simple interfaith intergenerational gathering for socializing and social justice. The Ignatian Solidarity Network, Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University, Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, and Jesuitical along with Old St Joseph’s Parish and other local partners welcome all to Solidarity on Tap | Philadelphia.
Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available for purchase. All are welcome.
Around 7:30 PM we will have a reflection on the theme “A Man for Others: A Rebel with Gospel Cause” by Michael Gomez, Ph.D., principal of Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School.
SPEAKER BIO: Dr. Gomez has been the principal of Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School since 2012. He previously served as principal of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, and prior to that he was the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs at Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha, NE. Dr. Gomez is a graduate of Providence College (B.A. English, 1995) and Binghamton University (M.A. English Literature, 1997). He also holds a Master of Arts in Private School Administration from Teachers College, Klingenstein Center at Columbia University and a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania (Ed.D., 2012). Dr. Gomez also teaches a graduate-level educational leadership class at the University of Pennsylvania.
