Solidarity on Tap | Portland

April 27, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

Solidarity on Tap is a simple gathering at a local pub for socializing and social justice. Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, and Ignatian Solidarity Network along with local partners welcome those connected to the Jesuits and the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola in Fairfield. (21 and over please!).

Around 7:30 PM we will have reflections on the theme “WALKING TOGETHER TOWARD A JUST, HOSPITABLE WORLD” by by Monica Goracke, Executive Director of the Oregon Law Center.

Monica has supervised the Oregon Law Center’s Portland Regional Office for the past six years. She oversees legal work, conducts outreach, makes community presentations, litigates in state and federal court, and works with local and state policymakers on issues affecting Oregonians who are low-income. She will be speaking on how public interest law intersects with housing in Portland.

The Ignatian Solidarity Network national event board provides the Ignatian family throughout the U.S. with information about national and local events that offer non-partisan perspectives on social justice and spirituality, consistent with ISN’s mission of faith-based social justice and advocacy.
