Solidarity on Tap is a simple gathering at a local pub for socializing and social justice. Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, and Ignatian Solidarity Network along with local partners welcome those connected to the Jesuits and the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola in San Francisco. (21 and over please!). Snacks and drinks available for a small donation.
Around 7:30 PM we will have an Earth Day reflection on the theme “WALKING TOGETHER TOWARD A JUST, HOSPITABLE WORLD,” by representatives of Canticle Farms and Sarah Prendergast.

SPEAKER BIO:
Canticle Farm is an urban farm in Oakland California that works for food security, holistic health and food sovereignty through urban permaculture, herbal medicines and a publicly accessible urban oasis. They are 29 people in 6 houses, living in intergenerational, interracial, interfaith community.
Sara Prendergast found her love for contemplating of the intersections of ecology and justice while studying at the Cal Poly State University. This carried her to do Jesuit Volunteer Corps in the Northwest where she planted a community garden with the church’s youth group, trying to help young people reclaim their identity as earth creatures. Since then, she has been reflecting on the intersections of faith and ecology during her theological studies at JST and her current job as a high school teacher at St. Ignatius College Prep.
