Solidarity on Tap | Syracuse

Solidarity On Tap is a simple gathering at a local pub for socializing and social justice. The Ignatian Solidarity Network, Jesuit Volunteer CorpsJesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, Jesuit School of Theology of Santa University, Boston College School of Theology and Ministry, and Jesuitical along with Catholic Charities of Onondaga County and other local partners welcome all to Solidarity on Tap | Syracuse.

Around 7:30 PM we will have a reflection on solidarity by Michael F. Melara, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Onondaga County.

Please Note: Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

SPEAKER BIO:

Mr. Melara has a BA from Le Moyne College and an MS from Chapman University. He has over 30 years of experience in not-for-profit and government work, including being a direct service provider, supervisor, and administrator. Prior to being appointed Executive Director of Catholic Charities, Mr. Melara spent four years as the Executive Director of Huntington Family Centers. In his current role, Mr. Melara is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a $17.9 million agency, including strategic planning, resource development, budget planning and management, human resources management, public relations, and Board relationships.
