Over the last 22 years, Trena and Kevin’s work has centered on creating and directing academic formation programs rooted in the Ignatian tradition integrating the exploration of faith and the promotion of justice through a praxis-based learning pedagogy. They co-founded and directed Santa Clara University’s Casa de la Solidaridad program in El Salvador, the University of San Francisco’s Casa Bayanihan program in the Philippines and the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA)’s Centro Ignacio Ellacuría. Kevin and Trena recently moved to the Bronx, NY with their 4 daughters. Kevin is working for the Jesuit Conference as Director of Praxis-Based Learning for the Jesuit First Studies Program. Trena is pursuing a Doctor in Ministry degree at Fordham University and working at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish on a program accompanying and supporting immigrant women.
