Lucas Sharma, S.J.

Lucas Sharma SJ is a Jesuit in Formation from the Jesuits West Province. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University, Loyola University Chicago, and most recently, Fordham University. Currently, he works as a Lecturer in Sociology at Seattle University. Lucas studies American religion, politics, and culture. Hobbies include cooking, reading, and watching General Hospital.

Emma Tacke

Associate Director of Community Engagement for Catholic Mobilizing Network to End the Use of the Death Penalty

Emma Tacke is the Associate Director of Community Engagement for Catholic Mobilizing Network to End the Use of the Death Penalty. Before joining CMN  Emma was 2016-17 Grassroots Mobilization Associate for NETWORK Lobby where she worked for social and econmic justice through grassroots outreach. During her time at NETWORK Emma had the opportunity to be an emcee for the 2017 Ecumenical Advocacy Days. Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Gender Studies from the College of Saint Benedict. Upon graduating from St. Ben’s in 2015 Emma moved to Seattle, Washington for a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.  As a lifelong Catholic and as someone who deeply values all Ignatian spirituality has to offer, Emma is thrilled to take part in this year’s Ignatian Family Teach-In as an emccee.
