Deepen your connection to the Ignatian network.
Join the Jesuit Parish Collaboration Framework.
Informing the framework we envision, our three goals for this collaboration are:
- To build a foundation that grounds us to our unique mission as a Jesuit parish network
- To enable action after the connection and discernment of our working group
- To identify and move toward our rallying point(s) and advocacy focus
The Parish Justice Summit’s two identified focal areas for this year – migration and care for creation, with racial reconciliation running through both themes – will further build out the collaboration framework.
Rallying points for action could include advocacy days in spring and fall, to allow for a goal for groups to work toward. The one-year timeline (June to June) for this will be further detailed and built out by summit participants. Local and/or statewide ballot initiative or electoral goals (largely, but not only, in November) could be synthesized within regional working groups.
Local/regional working groups would have an opportunity for discerning to action. The framework allows for the value in working both in local/regional groups, as well as within interest area and/or common ministry foci. (For example: St. Ignatius in S.F. and Holy Trinity in D.C. might have parishioners with valuable knowledge to share around their respective homeless care ministries, while their delegation members also desire to participate in the advocacy or electoral goals of their “home” locality/region.)
Communication will become paramount for the network to remain strongly linked, and for the work to remain viable. A resource-sharing hub, webinar library, monthly e-newsletter, and active parishioner representation are just a few ways to ensure a high level of effective and meaningful communication within the collaborative work throughout its timeline.
