JRS/USA is searching for a Community Accompaniment Network Coordinator for its Binational Cross-border Program. The selected candidate will lead the development of a nationwide accompaniment network for asylum seeking individuals who arrive at the U.S. Mexico Border in search of protection and who travel to various destinations in the United States. The community accompaniment coordinator will identify community-based collaborators/volunteers to establish local networks of support for recently arrived asylum seekers. We are seeking a bilingual individual (English & Spanish) who can travel across the border as needed, has strong communication skills, has networking experience, and has worked with volunteers. The Community Referral and Accompaniment Coordinator will report to the Border Program Senior Manager and work collaboratively with other JRS teams, JRS partners, especially the Kino Border Initiative (KBI) and the Ignatian Solidarity Network (ISN), and with other collaborators.
