The Alumni Relations and Events Coordinator plans and executes a variety of University-sponsored events, to broaden the awareness of Saint Xavier locally and nationally, as well as to strengthen relations with students, alumni, donors, community members and friends of the University. The Coordinator supports Alumni Relations efforts to strengthen alumni engagement and build alumni philanthropy, including alumni events and engaging communications through email, website and through social media.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Create, implement, and manage a welcome program for all new graduates.
Working within the annual comprehensive engagement strategy and planning, lead the execution of strategic events as assigned, including but not limited to class reunions, regional programs, and student/alumni campus engagements
Assist with the coordination of the alumni mentorship program and the alumni ambassador program, as well as other events and activities designed to strengthen alumni engagement and build alumni philanthropy
Support the communications efforts of the Alumni Relations team through a wide range of communications material such as email, marketing materials, website updates, social media, and other channels.
Collaborate with University Advancement staff in the execution of events and initiatives.
Enter activity reports in Raiser’s Edge and use the system to search and identify information.
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress; measure project performance specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Communicates written and verbally with a wide range of alumni, donors and volunteers; and serves as a liaison on behalf of the university to foster strong donor and working relationships.
Master optimal utilization of Raiser’s Edge resources to perform job functions efficiently.
Provides logistical support for University events and initiatives including, We Are SXU Day (annual day of giving), SXU Golf Classic, and annual New Student Induction and Commencement activities.
Continuously improve skills and knowledge, including participation in appropriate professional organizations and professional development opportunities.
Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree.
3 or more years of experience.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships, take initiative, and manage multiple relationships and deadlines efficiently and effectively.
Ability to organize and think independently with orientation to deadline and detail.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Raiser’s Edge database management preferred.
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office programs, MS Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
