The University of Detroit Mercy invites applications for the full-time position of Program Manager-Over Food Justice and Sustainability Initiatives.  This position supports student leadership team members as they develop and run food justice and sustainability initiatives in the Institute for Leadership and Service.  The Program Manager-Over Food Justice and Sustainability Initiatives is responsible for ensuring the sustainability of ILS food and sustainability initiatives through various cycles of student leadership by offering consistent management with respect to finances, administrative duties, record keeping, and filling in vacancies; maintaining positive relationships with community partners and on-campus groups; engaging LT and volunteers in critical thinking about issues of inequality and justice through activities, programs, and dialogue and assists Director of Service Learning in providing facilitating reflection exercises for other students; working with the staff of the Institute for Leadership and Service to enhance leadership development programs, sharing resources with other organizations; coordinating service-learning opportunities for Detroit Mercy students through ILS programs and at other local food justice organizations and assists the Direct of Service Learning in coordinating campus-wide service projects; working collaboratively with the Advisory Team to shape long-term mission, identity, finances, and infrastructure for ILS food and sustainability initiatives and collaborating on grant-writing and fundraising for ILS food and sustainability initiatives
