“HERE I WILL HEAR THEIR WEEPING”
A Call to Migrant Solidarity with Our Lady of Guadalupe
In the days and weeks leading up to the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Ignatian Solidarity Network and our partners invite you to join us as we stand in solidarity with our migrant sisters and brothers. We will provide opportunities for you to learn about the experiences of those in migration, pray together with folks in your community and across the country, and act in solidarity.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In the lead-up to the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, ISN will share stories from migrants, highlight how Our Lady of Guadalupe is a symbol of solidarity in migrant communities, and will provide resources for education, prayer, and action. This will include theological and pastoral reflections, prayers, images, liturgical resources, and even a list of masses, vigils, and other events happening on December 12 around the country that are open to the public.
On December 12, we’ll ask you to share how you are engaging in the work of welcoming, accompanying, supporting, and integrating migrants alongside an image of Guadalupe that speaks to you. We’ll also share more ways for you to get involved in your community in that work of welcoming and accompanying.
