The Biden administration is taking comments from the public on their proposed rule, “Circumvention of Lawful Pathways”. The Ignatian Solidarity Network invites you to submit a public comment on this proposed rule, which will make the process for people seeking asylum significantly more difficult. Earlier this week, ISN, alongside the Jesuit Refugee Service/USA and the Jesuit Conference Office of Justice and Ecology, submitted a public comment on the proposed rule, calling it, “an unacceptable response,” to the plight of asylum seekers.
Join ISN is condemning the new proposed rule and asking our government to consider the creation of rules that will, “welcome, protect, promote, and integrate,” all migrants and asylum seekers, who are our neighbors.
Please use this form to submit a comment telling them how this policy will hurt asylum seekers. Since identical comments will not be counted, we have prepared a set of guidelines for things to include in a public comment that you can write yourself. Anyone, regardless of immigration status, may submit a comment, but comments must be submitted in English. The comment period closes on March 27.
