Network News:
On Friday, February 19, 2021, Sr. Dianna Ortiz, O.S.U., passed away in Washington, D.C. She is remembered for her work on behalf of victims of torture, after herself experiencing kidnapping and torture at the hands of Guatemalan security forces in 1989. She also served as editor of Education for Justice from 2014-2018.
Out of their desperation, migrants on the U.S.-Mexico border have carved out their own agency and activism through the SaveAsylum movement.
An old-school game of M.A.S.H. serves as a reminder of the power of the stories we tell, particularly as parents guiding our children to imagine, tell, and live their authentic stories.
Homeboy Industries serves as the foundational rung of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs that catapults young adults to the university experience they were destined for.
These are concerning times. But worry is a waste. Better to live in concern and with care. As Jesus often said: We’re not here to lose our life. We’re here to give it.
