Georgetown University Announces Fossil Fuel Divestment

The Georgetown University Board of Directors today adopted a policy will divest from public securities of fossil fuel companies within the next five years and divest from existing private investments in those companies over the next 10 years.

U.S. Catholic Bishops Respond to Recent Supreme Court Decision on Public Charge

The U.S. Catholic bishops have issued a statement in response to the Jan. 27 Supreme Court decision allowing the Trump Administration to implement its expanded public charge rule, which allows the denial of legal status or changes in legal status for immigrants using public benefits such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicare, or Federal public housing assistance.
