Social Justice Film Contest for College Undergrads Announced by ISN and America Media

America Media and the Ignatian Solidarity Network announce a brand new social justice film contest, Voices From the Margins ’15. College undergraduates are invited to create short films focused on a wide breadth of topics, including — but not limited to — poverty, immigration, race and gender, human life issues and human rights, the environment and ecology.

Archbishop Wenski Welcomes New Carbon Pollution Standards, Citing Need To ‘Care For God’s Creation’

“A new national standard to reduce carbon pollution from existing power plants is an important step forward to protect the health of all people, especially children, the elderly, and poor and vulnerable communities, from harmful pollution and the impacts of climate change,” said Archbishop Thomas G. Wenski of Miami, in response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) announcement of a new final rule limiting carbon pollution, August 3.
