Advent Simplicity
Challenge
Living a more simple, abundant life
This Advent, commit to simplicity. We’re re-releasing our 2020 advent simplicity challenge in the spirit of simplicity, re-use, and Ignatian repetition!
In a season that can mistakenly be focused on gifts and consumption, explore ways to live simply as we hopefully prepare for the coming of Jesus and the restoration of the earth.
Step one: Sign up for the challenge to receive reminder emails to check the advent calendar which will be filled with daily inspiration to live abundantly and joyfully while healing the earth this Advent.
Step two: Set your intention for this season by pledging to focus on simplicity in a particular area of your life.
After a particularly complex couple of years, let’s celebrate this Season of Hope by keeping it simple.
ABOUT THE THEME
Advent is a time of hope and waiting for the coming of Jesus, who came to give us abundant life. In this Advent season, we invite you to reflect on the difference between the “abundant life” offered by Jesus and the “good life” promoted by society which says in order to be happy, we must always have more (money, possessions, and power). Living the abundant life often corresponds to living gently on the earth. This Advent, learn ways to live life more abundantly that will also heal the earth.
