Video: Seeking Migration + Ecological Justice on College Campuses | The Ignatian Justice Summit

BY ISN STAFF | September 12, 2023

The Ignatian Justice Summit featured four days of networking; sharing goals, challenges, and best practices; sharpening organizing/advocacy skills; praying and learning about the Ignatian call to work for justice; and committing to taking coordinated, collaborative action returning to campus.

The Summit also featured leaders in the immigration and environmental movements and policy experts whose work is grounded in Ignatian thought. Presentations and workshops allowed attendees to build organizing/advocacy skills, especially within migration justice and environmental justice contexts.

Interviewees (in order of appearance): Nour Alim – Georgetown University, Ruhie Rapolu – Georgetown University, Isadora Djukic – John Carroll University.

I like how students from different universities come together to work for justice in the fields of migration and ecology. Maybe I can join them or do something similar in my area. Of course, it takes time and energy to do that, but I think by using this online database for my assignments, I can free up some time to dedicate myself to such an important cause. I’m glad I found this video and would like to watch more presentations on this topic. I think I’ll subscribe to the YouTube channel.
