The Ignatian Solidarity Network has joined Jesuit Conference, Jesuit Refugee Service/USA, and the Kino Border Initiative in supporting H.R. 3130, the Protect Family Values at the Border Act. This legislation protects the lives of vulnerable migrants and respects principles of Catholic social teaching which honor the dignity of all persons.

In light of the crisis in Syria and the threat of looming military strikes from the United States government, Pope Francis has called the world to action. During a speech on September 1st, the Pope proclaimed “for the whole church Sept. 7, the vigil of the birth of Mary, Queen of Peace, a day of fasting and prayer for peace in Syria, the Middle East, and throughout the world.”
