Join Education for Justice for our inaugural gathering for secondary educators: Cultivating Renewal Engaging the Signs of our Times (CREST).
CREST will gather secondary educators who guide young people to recognize and respond to the “signs of our times,” or the realities of injustice and inequity we observe in the world around us. Through speakers, networking, and reflection opportunities using the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, educators will move beyond thinking about program offerings, and go deeper within themselves to cultivate relational and leadership skills to walk with young people on their faith and justice journeys.
Take part in three days of:
- Networking and collaboration: share goals, visions, challenges and opportunities with colleagues;
- Formation and reflection on social analysis: learn more about social analysis through the lens of the pastoral circle
- Renewal in mission: Share in robust opportunities of prayer and reflection, cultivate relationships, and revisit the hope-filled possibilities of engaging young people
THE LOCATION
Villa Maria del Mar | Santa Cruz, CA
The gathering takes place at Villa Maria Del Mar, a retreat center nestled on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Santa Cruz, CA. This beautiful, peaceful space will serve as the backdrop as we learn, vision, and renew our spirits together.
REGISTRATION
Registration fees are per attendee and include program fees, room, and board, beginning with dinner on 4/24 and ending with breakfast on 4/26. Participants must cover the cost of transportation to and from CREST.
Each room includes a private bathroom. Participants may opt for a shared (double) space for a savings of $90 per person.

ISN prepares materials and arrangements according to the number of participants registered. A non-refundable deposit of $100 per person will be due at the time of registration. Any cancellations occurring after the registration deadline will NOT be refunded.
