The Art of Spiritual Direction AN ANCIENT PRACTICE FOR CONTEMPORARY TIMES (Part II)

2022-04-22 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

- $15 – $30

Our theme in April will follow the February conversation we had with Fr. Pat, Sheila and Mary Pauline sharing their varied experiences and perspectives on the values and purpose of spiritual direction. Over 50 people gathered with us: spiritual directors, those receiving direction, and others who are curious about the practice. We had a chance to break into small groups and have some extended conversation when we came back together as a large group.

Part II: Spiritual Direction: Applications and Experiences
What are the ways that spiritual direction contributes to a person’s spiritual journey? (i.e. discerning between two goods, identifying the graces in their lives, etc.). Hear how presenters share examples from their own lives of being helpers or seeking help from spiritual direction.

Fr. Pat will begin by grounding us in the question from the perspective of Ignatian Spirituality. Sheila will follow, sharing her own perspective, experience, and practice. Joe Cussen will share a personal response which will then help us transition to our small group conversations.

This program is for anyone who is involved with or interested in Spiritual Direction. All are welcome!
