Black Immigrant Advocacy Week of Action
Black immigrants are often overlooked during conversations about immigrants and the realities they face.
José Arnulfo Cabrera is the director of education and advocacy for migration for the Ignatian Solidarity Network. He is a 2018 graduate of Xavier University, a DACA recipient, and an immigration activist. He previously worked with the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he provided training on lobbying, organizing, and immigration policy, as well as shared his own immigration story, and as a government relations associate with NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice in Washington, D.C.
Black immigrants are often overlooked during conversations about immigrants and the realities they face.
We must keep advocating, keep putting the pressure on the new Biden Administration and Congress to work toward humane immigration reform.
As we prepare for a new presidential administration, we must remember that it is imperative to always work towards justice, regardless of who the president is.
Sign up now to connect with the Jesuit network and learn how you can learn, educate, pray, and advocate for justice year-round.
