Today, the Ignatian Solidarity Network joined more than 300 faith-based organizations delivered a letter to President Barack Obama and Members of Congress urging protection, care and legal counsel for the thousands of Central American children who have fled escalating violence, conflict and exploitation in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

The Ignatian Solidarity Network (ISN) Board of Directors has unanimously voted to welcome Maureen Beckman, Salvador Colon, Paris Jones, and Justin White, as directors. The new members of ISN’s national governance board will serve three year terms.

Over 1,200 alumni of Jesuit universities and high schools have sent a letter this week to fellow alumni in the U.S. House of Representatives calling on them to pass comprehensive immigration reform legislation. The group forty-three House members, which includes Speaker of the House Representative John Boehner (Xavier University ‘77) have attended one or more of the 28 universities and 60 high schools sponsored by the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in the United States.
