WASHINGTON, DC – The US Jesuit Conference has announced a request for proposals for the 2013 Social and Pastoral Research Grants. The grants are administered by the Conference’s Social and International Ministries (SIM) office. Approximately $20,000 in grants funds available for disbursement. Grants will assist individuals and organizations in acting and educating on the “faith that does justice.” Typically grants range in value from $4,000 to $6,000 each, though greater amounts will be considered if funds are available. This year the request for proposals focuses on two areas of research: 1. Exploring the connection between race and injustice with an Ignatian lens; and 2. Making connections with Africa.
