
About Francisco Mena Ugarte
Francisco Mena Ugarte was born in San Salvador in 1974. Because of the war, his family had to flee El Salvador in 1982. They lived in several countries in Central America and North America, including the U.S. and Mexico. After 13 years and once the war ended, his family returned to El Salvador. Francisco is the executive director of CRISPAZ – Christians for Peace in El Salvador – a faith-based organization dedicated to building bridges of solidarity between the Church of the poor and marginalized communities in El Salvador and communities in the US, Canada, Australia, and other countries through mutual accompaniment. He has worked in CRISPAZ since 2009.
Francisco studied business at Universidad Albert Einstein, has two sisters and he and his wife Veronica live in San Salvador.
