On this, the first day of our Posadas journey together, we’d like to share some resources gathered by the Kino Border Initiative. We want to begin by sharing with you the story of Madisson, a mother and asylum seeker who’s life has been affected by Title 42. Hear from her, in her own words, about the experience of life at the U.S.-Mexico Border as someone seeking a refuge for her and her family.

PRAYER FROM THE VIDEO

The prayer below was collected from an individual visiting the KBI Comedor, where two meals are served daily.

I have a thousand difficulties,
Help me. From the enemies of
the soul, Save me. In my doubts
and thoughts, Comfort me.
In loneliness, Accompany me.
When they deprecate me, Lift me
up. In temptations, Defend me.
With your fatherly heart, Love
me. With your immense power,
Protect me. And in your arms
when I die, Receive me.

Amen.

Manuel of Guerrero, México

Tengo mil dificultades Ayúdame
De los enemigos del alma
Sálvame En mis dudas y
pensamientos Confórtame
En soledades, Acompañarme.
Cuando me deprecien.
Anímame. En las tentaciones.
Defiéndeme. Con tu corazón
paternal, Ámame. Con tu
inmenso poder, Protégeme. Y en
tus brazos al morir, Recibeme.

Amén.

Manuel of Guerrero, México

ACTION

Today, we’d like to share this Amazon wishlist from the Kino Border Initiative. If you can help them buy some of the things they need to meet the needs of migrants in Nogales, use the link to purchase these items for them, and they will be sent directly to KBI.
